Hardware gadgets
The most used computer hardware gadgets are: printers, scanners and memory cards.
Printers
Printers are one of the most used peripherals on computers and are commonly used to print text, images, and/or photos. They are sometimes sold with computers, but more frequently are purchased separately.
Printers are designed for low-volume, short-turnaround print jobs; requiring virtually no setup time to achieve a hard copy of a given document.
Printers are routinely classified by the underlying print technology they employ; numerous such technologies have been developed over the years.
Scanners
Scanners are the most common digital capture device, their purpose being to convert light (which we see when we look at something) into ‘0’s and ‘1’s that we can store and use in a computer. Scanners are without doubt the most common method of capturing digital images from original analogue works and very few digitisation projects can manage without at least one within their selection of input devices.
Scanners are unlike other office equipment as there is very little "consumable" cost like ink, toner, or paper.
Memory cards
Memory cards are for use in digital cameras, digital photo frames, cell phones, PDAs, MP3/MP4 players, GPSs, and other small computing devices. Memory cards are quite sturdy and you can expect cards to be capable of working through more than one million data write/read/erase cycles.
Memory cards are made by a variety of manufacturers and can be found in different storage capacities and transfer speeds.
Memory cards are sold everywhere now, but the best prices are still on-line
