Fitness equipment
If you have some sort of fitness equipment at home you can have a mini workout any time that you have a few minutes. You can either use the equipment several times during the day or you can schedule a specific time for a daily workout. Even small incremental sessions will be of value to you. You will gain some benefit and you will not tire yourself out.
There are multitudes of machines and gadgets on the market to assist in your weight loss and fitness goals. The simplest products and perhaps the least expensive are fitness bands. This product has the appearance of rubber tubing with handles attached or large, long sheets of elastic. The purpose of these simple bands is to use them for resistance training. Usually such items are included as a set which comes with instructional booklets or DVD’s.
A bit further up in price range and perhaps a bit more interesting are balance balls. Some are rubber balls that are rather large in size. A series of exercises and activities, again on DVD or in booklet form, are done to increase core strength. Another type of fitness ball is a half ball on a flat platform. This can be used with either side up and is great for improving balance and core strength.
